At the bottom of this web page is a "Back" link that will take you back to the "PowerPoint Description and Lesson Links" web page.

Inserting pictures into a PowerPoint slide is done via the Insert Tab of the PowerPoint ribbon. There are, in PowerPoint 2013 two Picture options to select from. One is basic Pictures where you are taken to the Pictures folder on your computer--this is the area where saved pictures from items such as cameras, phones, scanners, etc. are generally placed. The other Picture item is the online pictures. These are stock pictures or cartoon type pictures that are free to download and insert into a PowerPoint slide. For example, if you need a picture of a fish in a slide, you can go to the insert menu, then to Online Pictures, and finally type in fish in one of three edit boxes in d larger box that pops up. Once you hit the Enter key, and group of pictures in columns and rows comes up. Arrow to one you want, hit enter, wait a minute, and it is inserted. You can resize the very large picture that covers nearly the whole slide, by hitting the Applications, and then tabbing down and changing the size and position of the pictures in the slide. If you cannot see the picture at all, it is advisable to have someone with sight look at the slide to be sure it is what you want.
